I'm taking my car in for its 5000 mi service tommrow and am thinking about just keeping the C&L tune as opposed to flashing back to stock. What do you think I should do?

D'OH, if I could only spell, the title of this thread would be "FLASH(!) back to stock or keep custom tune?"

you plan on driving it with the stock tune and C&L intake? From what I understand - this isnt a good idea.

Shouldnt be an issue unless the intake caused damage and they could prove it.

I would just flash back to stock in the dealer parking lot...but I think I'm just going to leave it.

Chris,

What do they do for 5,000 mile service? Did you post the pics from last night on the board anywhere?

Keep it all in place, they don't need to touch anything with that stuff anyway, it's just an oil change.

And hey, if they say anything negative about it at least you'll know where you stand.

The manual recommends returning to stock in case they flash your computer with an updated version of the stock program. You will not be able to save it as you already have a stock program saved in the Predator.

I'd flash it back to stock right before you drop it off. I doubt the engine running lean long enough to drive it in and out of the service area is going to damage it.

If you are just going in for a service checkup, oil change, etc... don't worry about it. They'll never know. That's even if they would be able to check it and spot that you flashed the computer. But they wouldn't check to see, so no worries.
