Hey Guys and Gals,

I was rather pleased with my Mustang this week. I took him on his first road trip outside of the Houston Area. We travelled from Houston to Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Fort Worth, and back to Houston last night.

The short list:

Seats were great, my butt didn't get soar.

Shaker 500 is great for on longs trips when you are by yourself!!!

I was getting between 28.5 and 30.5 MPG!!!!!!! (I have a manual) It was really cool to look at the Message Center and it say "405 miles to E" It usually says "315 to E" when I commute to work.

My family was also throrougly impressed with the car. My Grandfather is currently restoring my Great-Grandmother's '68 and my uncles cousins all demanded rides. One of my cousins refused to even look at it. He wants one soooo bad.

Anyway, Happy Motoring!

They are great on trips. We have been to TN and FL in mine... the seats are the best! Glad you had a nice time.

Plus, it's always fun to pass the ugly cars, huh? LOL

I am planning a road trip from the 11-16 September from Edmonton, Alberta to Vancouver, British Columbia. A mere 900 miles give or take a few. The second week in September is normally a good week to travel as all the kiddies are back to school and most of the motor homes are off the highway. I have had two other mustangs and they performed great on long road trips and I can't see the new ride letting me down, if anything from what I have experienced it will perform better. Also as southern stang girlee suggests it will be fun to pass on the ugly cars on the road.

Ya. Took mine on a trip earlier this month on those nice Texas back roads.

It was nice. Especially passing the loaded farm trucks.

Took "the mistress" on a road trip of the 4th of July weekend. Drove it from N.E. Ohio to Newport RI. It was smooth sailing. Had all the passing power I needed but maintain a good cruising speed. 80mph. I got almost 30mpg. It was nice to have the MP3 player in the car, listened to one MP3 disc I made almost the entire trip out there.

Took a pictue near the Newport bridge (which is my avatar) and another one of the dash on the way home.

Made it from Newport RI to Niles Ohio in 8 and 3/4 hours. 8 and 1/4 of it was drive time, since 1/2 hour was spent filling me and the car up in PA.

I felt like doing the cannonball run!

The bridge is the same one Jim Carry crossed at the beggining of "Me, Myself and Irene"

took my GT to Cape Cod (through Boston on I-93 ) . smooth sailing, plenty of power to get past the morons. The most fun I have is crusin' with other high-end cars (porsches, vetts, benz, other stangs). Just feel like you're on another vertical plane

Mine isn't! He's a boy. You should really check the undercarriage before you make assumptions
