I chose to go without the IUP, I personally like the all black (dark charcoal) look. I did however swap out the stearing wheel because I wanted a leather wrapped one. I guess my interior is ugly now that I have the aluminum on my wheel and no where else?

rrobello: The rings around the vents are chrome in every car IUP or no IUP

To each his own I guess

I don't like that car as a WHOLE...between the dash, paint, and wing delete it just leaves a lot to be desired...but every1 likes something different....just not alot of appeal to me...can't imagine it gets as many stares inside and out as many of the other '05's I've seen....
I think the car looks great...mine is ordered in mineral grey w/ wing delete also (charcoal interior), and the pictures make me feel very good about that decision...I am not concerned with how many stares I'll get...I ordered it to please me, not others...

Funny... Everytime I see the car without the wing, it reinforces my plan to get it without. I think the car looks MUCH better without it. To each his own.
I think some colors look better with the spoiler, and some better without.

I agree with those who think IUP lite is a little too lite.

At the very least the chromed air vent or the aluminum trim panel should have been included, especailly if MyColor is the problem in the supply chain.

They would definitley relieve pressure on the full IUP if they had given a bit more in this package.

I love personal opinions at least we all are allowed to offer them in the country, go USA. I love my interior, no IUP. Its the way I ordered it and waited 7 weeks to get it just the way it is. It goes perfect to me with the Windveil Blue exterior. $450 bucks for IUP would have made no difference to me cost wise. The center gauges are really dumey lights with needles anyway, have never owned a vehical with a message center or My Color, so I don't miss not having them. My wife and I love sitting in the car and driving it and it gets plenty of looks as we do. The looks it gets are not important but how we feel about driving this GT is, we love our baby even if she may be considered by some plain or ugly . Thats why I love reading everyones opinions on here, they are fun and informative at times but it all boils down to what we like in our car.

WTF? 4 guages in a GT instead of 6. That is an insult to this car.

Some would say air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, etc. is an insult to the car.

Kahdir is correct it is green when you turn on your lights. The really cool think I found is that when it is dark out and you start your car, the gauges light up in a bright white background. It caught me offguard because I was not expecting any gauge lights until I turned on my lights. I had asked the gauge light question on this forum while my car was order, so I was expecting green. The white gauges look really cool, its kinda my little, MY Color, gauge setup.

That's exactly what I said. And I went back and changed my order to delete the spoiler when it was clean/unscheduled. Now I've got my VIN and all I have to do is wait for the IUP fairy to stick the IUP in my car sometime before 2006.

Beachboy, light grey looks really nice without iup...I like how the black dash contrasts with the light grey lower dash...

Thanks Brennan, that is exactly why I went with the combo I did. The color contrast works for me, plus it works well with Windveil Blue exterior. These cars look good in pictures, but looking at them in person is a whole different experience.
I had a guy and his girlfriend follow me today to a local shopping area just to get a good look at it. I am a pretty low key guy and don't like a lot of attension. But he was a car lover, and since right now there are not a lot of these puppies around, I felt it was cool to talk with him and just let him check it out. If my car was not in yet I might have done just as he did.
I saw a satin silver GT today in a parking lot with 30 day tags. You can spot this car from a long way away, and know that it is a mustang, we can thank the Ford Mustang design team for that. Finally after many years we have a car that is affordable, with modern handling and performance that truly looks like a Mustang again.

one of the main reasons i wanted IUP was for the two extra gauges... sports cars look silly missing their vital guages. The rest of the stuff they put in (the aluminum) the after market will cover, but hte gauges would be a bit of work to add

I REALLY like the light graphite interior. I saw it in an '05 Mustang for the first time yesterday, and I like the way the interior changes with the light - when the sun comes out, it looks light, but under an overcast sky it looks much darker. Dark charcoal is just dark, rain or shine.

I also like the way the dark charcoal dash, console, and steering wheel contrast with the rest of the interior. If I decided to go without IUP, it would be light graphite for sure, but I will probably hold out for IUP so I can get the contrasting door panels too. Everyone wants IUP for a different reason, and for most people it's not IUP lite!

PS. I think you are right about the gauges - 5 & 6 are "idiot gauges" - they're either on or off.

I personally would trust an oil pressure gauge over a dummy light any day.

You could finish up the IUP Lite with aftermarket pieces, but I still think I would prefer the factory gauge pod. Just the two gauges doesn't seem right for a GT.
Lets not forget NO message center, and NO air bags with IUP LIMP
