Cool

I was driving today and I am used to getting waves, thumbs up, etc while driving my '05 GT however today was different. Some guy driving an Eagle Talon wearing leather gloves with the fingers cut out gave me a dirty look and a big thumbs down when I drove past him at an intersection this afternoon. I just smiled and laughed thinking this guy clearly has some menal issues.

Er, I think I'd have taken that response from the kind of guy you described as further vindication!

Drive on!

Dude is driving an Eagle Talon. He's probably bitter.

Got my first negative one as well. Some guy put his hands up, frowning and shaking his head in the "wtf were you thinking". I guess I was thinking he is a moron.

Maybe he thinks we all paid the dealer markup over MSRP.

I had a guy in a T-top WS6 LS1 behind me talking to his g/f whom was next to him at the light. The girl in the Pontiac GTP pointed at my car and I read the WS6 guy's lips. He said "That's a 05 Mustang GT, they are nothing to worry about". He even used a shrugging gesture to prove his point. I was first at the light, turned my T/C off and lauched hard at green. I went thru 3 gears and the guy couldn't catch me. As I was buslengths ahead of him, I was smirking and smiling.

Not being the most "warm and fuzzy" person around, I still find it a pleasant surprise that my gas station visits usually turn out to be a social gathering. Most of the time 1-3 folks will come over to the car, ask me about it and say something positive about it and or the Stang they had x number of years ago. heck, if this keeps up, I may even have to start smiling.

Its nice that people come talk to you while filling up at the gas station. That should help pass the time it takes to fill those troublesome, slow filling tanks!

Let the guy think what he wants. I doubt you'll ever see someone like him at the track.
