Well, after debating on this issue in my mind for quite some time, I took the car wash plunge today for the first time. I was actually SUPER NERVOUS to the point of stomach jitters before the car entered the system. I've used this place for years with great success, no issues with them at all. They are a very well respected car wash, but for some reason, it was almost like your daughter going on her first date. You want NO SCRATCHES or anything else on it when it comes back.
The Mexican fellows that work at the car wash (who don't speak good english at all) loved the car. Smiles etc etc...one even managed the word "Mustang" and I said "Yes, it's the '05".

As the car was proceeding through the system, various people were talking to me inside the carwash about it. A guy with the new Dodge Magnum loved the car and asked me various questions about it. At least 6 people commented or asked questions.

The car came through just fine, and looks awesome. It sure does beat washing the car in the New Jersey wind at 45 degrees with cold tap water.

That's going to be fun when I get mine. I'm a slave to the car wash out here in the desert. We have to, our water is so hard with minerals that only the seriously uninformed would attempt to wash their car with tap water.

We have far from crystal clear water.

And yes, I'm from further north than you. I know how it is to wash a car in the winter. We get them worse than you.

My first post was sarcastic for those of you who didn't understand that. Though I know I'm the only one washing my car. Especially since all the car washes around here drive the cars around like crazy when they are washing/detailing them.

I say just drive it through a touchless car wash in the winter every week to get the salt off.

No one touches my car :nono:

Lane, what town was the car wash in? I know one in North Jersey that does full service good enough to go to a local show with a late model and win.
