Not to try to get this bUT it seems to me that Ford would want to sell the first one to be driven in the good o'll USA not to be sent straight to Germany. That is just sacrilegious in my book. Is it time to give Ford ?

Now back to or normal programming!

Brad - I know that you cant tell you who the source is, but I have been talking to the buyer, and we just confirmed that it was him...here is the PM from him to me:

I called Lou now and yes, it's me!!!! The freight company ordered the car to Chicago cause the freight-rate is cheaper from Chicago than San Diego!! The car will com by "Air Mail" but I m sure there are many others who will see their cars first. Hopefully one of them it's you. Please give the board my best regards ond of course if you want you can tell them it's Peter1966. I will write a comment in the office but here it's 10.30 PM and I'm here in a mobil-line. Best Wishes from Germany!!!
Peter

The car Leno talked about on the Tonight Show a few weeks ago was a Ford GT, not a Mustang GT. The dealer is probably also talking about a Ford GT, not a Mustang.
For what it is worth. I was watching one of the news shows lit was ET or Extra when they were talking about him leaving and turining the show over to Conan. They showed him driving away in a 05 Red Mustang. The voice over even said Jay leaves in his new mustang[/b][/quote]
It was Inside Edition. Brad has never steered us wrong. I know 90% of what I know about the 05 because of this site and placed my order based on it. I knew more than the salesman who called me to say he had pricing two days after I saw it here. Ford should pay him a commission or at least make a donation to the site . Order guide, pricing guide, owners manual, first retail sale and the list goes on.

I was not doubting him I don't know how you got that. What I thought was going on was someone said Leno had a mustang delivered , brad thought it was a GT and I was pointing out I had seen him in a mustang on a TV show

BTW, if the guy is on the forum he can't get credit for being the first member to get it without providing the details and pics .... :P

I'm most interested in which member wins that award!

The first 2005 Mustang sold last night at Drew Ford in La Mesa, CA.
Hello Brad, hello Mustang Fans on the worlds best board,

yes the first official sold 05 Mustang is my car. It’s a performance white GT Premium, dark charcoal leather, auto trans, shaker 1000, active anti-theft, IUP, wheel locking kits. My VIN is a 03231 the priority was a 10. I cannot pick the car up for myself, because I live thousand miles away from your country. I got the information from this board and last night I called my salesman in La Mesa, at Drew Ford. He told me about a big sales conference with about 400 salesmen where the info about the first sold 05 Mustang come out. But of course the biggest bomb was that this car will go to Germany, sorry. I think, a great sign for the Ford Motor Company, BRING THIS CAR TO EUROPE!!! Schenker Logistics will handle this car for me, but I don’t have any info right now about the pick up in Chicago. Why Chicago? It’s very easy, the freight rates from Chicago are cheaper than San Diego or L.A. cause this Baby will come by plane. Many nice people from this board asked me about, what I have done, something special or what. No, I did nothing. My wife and I were in January at the L.A. Auto show, special for the premier of the new Mustang. We made a travel around California and in La Mesa we had a stop at a nice Ford Dealer. The salesman (hello Lou) was very nice and all people around very friendly. So we decided to make a pre-order and give a $ 500 deposit. In June 9th my fax was running and it began, Hi Peter this is the beginning of your 2005 Mustang! Now we know it was official. Ten days later I made my registration on this great board and it was (is) a hard waiting time for us. Of course, I will make a picture at the airport with banana dance , but I’m sure there are many others they dance before me and that’s good so.

Thank you again Brad and all Mustang Fans around the world for every info you gave to us!!!

Thank you Ford to build this great car!!!

Peter
