The car Leno talked about on the Tonight Show a few weeks ago was a Ford GT, not a Mustang GT. The dealer is probably also talking about a Ford GT, not a Mustang.
No, it was a Mustang. He talked about it during one of the interviews on a Monday show.

As far as Greg's car, the dealer never said anything about GT. He just said "new mustang". Nothing to be confused about there. [/b][/quote]
At any rate, Ford lists this one at Drew Ford as being the first one sold at retail.

I know leno talked about the Ford GT, but I'm also pretty darn sure that i read about leno already having a mustang GT as well.

Alright, point there. However, any factory order isn't "retail" either.

If you feel the need to call, Hugle, be my guest! The number is listed there on the website. Let me know what he says, LOL.
Already did. Brad is correct. Never doubted him. Call yourself, they are quite nice people there.

I'm sure they are, Hugle...

Like I said Brad, I wasn't calling you a liar. I explicitly said it was just what I was told when I called.

PS - Ford lists it as the first retail sale? Is there a website that tracks the sales or something?

Ford dealers computer sales systems are all tied into each other at some point so its easy for another dealer to search inventory and corp. to track stuff.

Hey Brad - Was it a V6?? Because the person that tracks the rail cars said that she was having trouble tracking the "V8"s as she called them, but she didnt say anything about any V6's

Where is the Orange County Liberation Front? They could infiltrate the dealer and get the info on the guy...

Bill Drew w/Drew Ford just called me. He verified they did make delivery on a 2005 Ford Mustang last night. Apparently it was a "cash drop" deal. The buyer lives in Chicago, and is exporting it to Germany.

Ok, Brad, I know whose it is now. I know the details of it, the delivery did not take place AT the dealership last night, but yes it was sold and does not appear in their system as an order anymore.

For what it is worth. I was watching one of the news shows lit was ET or Extra when they were talking about him leaving and turining the show over to Conan. They showed him driving away in a 05 Red Mustang. The voice over even said Jay leaves in his new mustang
