the one my car was shot for to be used on the box, it turned out pretty well. It has a section on the cover that has an abbrasive surface that shows the difference between the before and after of use of the clay bar. the kit is real nice it has 2 claybars, with a case, the detail spray and a nice microfiber.....

dude, that's a total collector item for you and your car!

but i HOPE you got some cash for that...it saved them getting a car/getting it shipped to a studio/getting insurance and all that jazz!

at LEAST get some kind of supply of free stuff.

Interesting grill and lower fogs, they photo shop that in or do you have any better photos you could post? Have not seen that type of set up yet, looks cool.

They have to take off anything ford related, so they have to remove the pony on the front. during that process, they just chop the whole thing.

they dont have to do that, they just take a pic of anyones car they want, the owner of the car doesnt own the image of the car Ford does, the reason they need to photoshop the car, in fact if I didnt see the guy taking the pics of my car I wouldve never known, but they did give me this first one, Barry Meguiar will sign a letter for me thanking me for the use of my car and who knows what else, the thing is its pretty cool and I did have to do anything I was just at work.

its photoshopped they need to remove all of Ford trademarked identification, and that included the pony, the fog position, the grill itself and even the hoodlines if you look closely.

Looks great. Glad it's finally coming out.

Looks like they used a Roush front end for the chop.

So are you going to use the kit? If you do, give some feedback.

I need to clay bar my car here some time soon. Someone said
March, is that the timeframe we'd be looking at to purchase this kit?

Thats cool man congrats.

Sorry for the newb question but I am one when it come to real car care. Since this is the first car I really care about. What does the clay bar do for you and how often should you actually use one? I always thought it was for taking out small scratches but seems it does more.

The claybar doesn't remove scratches, but it removes stuff/crap imbedded in the clear coat, it makes it a TON smoother!..

rrobello: The car in the picture doesn't even look like yours Did they clone out the stripes too ??

Maybe I can get one and get it autographed!!!

You coming to the first MustangSource meet in B'ham? You could set up a stand and have the stuff for sale with your autograph on it.

Of course, maybe Meguiars would pay for your trip here if you did that....

I am going to use the kit not this one I have, since it is in perfect condition and the ones that get to stores usually are banged up pretty good and I already have a clay bar that I can still use for now. I was told spring so I am hoping by March, April at the latest, it all depends on the "ad season" as I was told.

doesnt take scratches out, only gets rid of things on the surface that washing doesnt, dont do it unless this is the case, it is not needed otherwise and over long term it can do damage to the clear coat with excessive unneeded use.

Barry is a great Guy, and Car Nut. I got to meet him last Summer at the Carlisle Show. I got my T-Bird Photographed by his people, "for possible further use", they said. It was awesome rubbing elbow's with someone of his stature, especially when he came to me. My Merlot Custom 04 T-Bird can be seen on the Carlisle site. (First Place, two years running)
