Your in my prayers Kyle get well soon. does anyone know if he need blood donated in his name at tgh or could they find out ? I would be on for that or maybe some type of mustang thing to help the family, donations ect.

Hey guys, I've had a lot of people asking about blood. He may eventually need blood donations, but currently he doesn't need any. They're not anticipating him needing any either. Thank you everyone for the offer, though. His latest update is:
The doctors finished Kyle's procedure with the heart filter. Everything went fine, and he is resting comfortably. We found out he has a broken toe on his right foot, but that's not a major issue. I don't think they're going to do anything about the toe at all.

Not really, there's no telling how long he'll be unconscious or how long it's going to take to wake him up.
Latest update:
He's had a kind of rough night. By taking out the ice-water catheter to put in the heart filter, his temperature went up after awhile of being off of it. They have put in another catheter now that the heart filter is in. Kyle's temp has gone back down to normal. But now his brain pressure has gone up and they've had to put him on paralytics, which will calm his body into not moving. We're waiting to see what happens.

Kyle had a rather bumpy night. They battled most of the night to get his temperature down. That, at least, has been achieved. Now they are battling to get the pressure on his brain back down. They are increasing his medication and paralizing his muscles to relax him. We ask that everyone pray especially hard today to get him over this next bump.
We love all of you and appreciate everything all of you are doing for us and Kyle.
Kyle is one GATOR that all Floridians nedd to support. Even if you a Noles or Bulls fellow.

Lord God we pray, first honoring You for who You are, what You can do, and how You love us. I lift up Kyle to You and ask that you bring comfort to him and healing. Let Your Love rest upon him. Give the doctors understanding in how to treat Kyle, for You are the Doctor that does not practice medicine that heals, but You are the One where true healing flows from. You can perform miracles where You choose and I ask for a miracle in Kyle's life. Bring the down the pressure on his brain, and give Kyle the victory. Give to his family and to his friends that peace that surpasses all understanding and let all who read this know that there is a God in Heaven that loves them and cares for them. We thank you in advance for all that You are about to do.

As of 5:00, Kyle's pressure has been steadily climbing all day even with the addition of new medications. They are currently considering other options to control the pressure on his brain. We are waiting to hear back from the doctors to see what the next step will be. A new update will be posted as soon as we know something. Please pray that the pressure comes back down soon. We appreciate your prayers and support

We just met with the doctors and Kyle has developed pneumonia and the ICP # is still a little high. They have begun antibiotics and made some respiratory changes and they believe that these steps will work. As things change we will continue to update you. Please continue to pray that Kyle will improve and heal.

Kyle has been started on an antibiotic, the ventilator has been adjusted and he has responded positively to those changes. At this moment, he is resting comfortably and the ICP # has dropped tremendously....the lowest since he was admitted!!! Praise God for these blessings. Keep praying, for that seems to be working.
