Ok, I'm going this week to make my order. Through e mail, me and the dealer have agreed on an X plan price plus tax. My question is, what other fees woudl there be added to the quoted price besides sales tax and how much are these fees usually? Any help is greatly appreciated.

If they are truly selling at X-plan, my understanding is that no other fees should be charged. Dealers are not allowed to charge extra fees on plan sales unless it something like undercoating or lo-jack or another dealer option that you agree to.

FDAF=240
Gas=22.55

That was it for me, also on x-plan.

That is true fastback. The dealer is not to add any dealer fees to the price.

I've actually ordered mine through Z-plan, where the same rules apply. On the invoice that I signed, there was a line for the Dealer fee which is usually $495 and that was crossed out.

Depending on how your state works, you will have to pay for Tax, tag and title.

That should be it.

The only additional charges to the x-plan price as listed on the invoice should be your sales tax, state safety inspection and plate fees. On the plans, the dealer is not allowed to charge any kind of doc fee. The destination, fdaf and gas fees are already included in the plan amount listed on the invoice.

Karpro is correct. There should be NOTHING other than sales tax, title fee and registration fee added to the X plan price.

Guess I should have indicated that the fees I mentioned were from the dealer order form, not papers to be signed.

Yes, they do. In NY it is only $45 so not a big deal, but I believe a few states are as much as $200 - $500.

We have to show the doc on our paperwork, so we back it out of the price and it comes out the same when added back in...but you shouldn't have to pay over a/x/z-plan, which includes destination and delivery, fdaf, etc., etc...

Don't they call that some kind of permit fee?
I'm ordering from a dealer in NY and they don't have a doc fee at all.
Just the permit fee. $55.

There's a dealer in Panama City FL who's doc fee is $549!!

All you should be paying is invoice, FDA($240), gas($20.46), Delivery($625), tax, tag, & title.
On X-plan there not supposed to charge you a doc fee or any other fees.

OK all these fees are confusing me. I have a X-Plan pin what should I expect to pay for this in CA:

2005 Mustang Coupe GT
Premium
Total MSRP: $26,780.00

Package: Premium
Engine: 4.6L 3V V8 Engine
Transmission: TR3650 5-Speed Manual Transmission
Exterior Color & Interior Trim

Sonic Blue Clearcoat Metallic

Dk Charcoal
Special Packages
- Interior Upgrade Package
Options/Upgrades
- Spoiler Delete Option

I'm talking exact price out the door (8.25% tax in L.A.)

This is what I came up with. Correct me if I'm wrong somewhere:

Invoice is:
23489
401 (IUP)
------------
23890

X-Plan price around:
------------
24002

Price after tax (8.25%)
------------
25982

Am I even close?

I used X-plan. The dealer charged me for the car, tax (7%) and title transfer fees ($106). I did not get charged for FDAF or even gas.
