Got my GT 'Stang back from the dealer today after the TSB fix for the front end clunking/ popping. It sure handles different, for the better. Not so sensitive on the steering input. It also feels tighter now. Anyone else notice a change?

I had mine done today as well..It did feel a touch different drivivg home..but I didnt go that far..Still peeved about the rear bumper cover being tore up and not happy driving while she looks this way :bang: :bang: I'll pay more attention to how its driving tommorow when she goes to the body shop
Dealer had my car for about 2 1/2 hours to get that done..They had all the parts waiting for it when I got there..

Well I think the same thing. But I think its my imagination. Just not hearing the noise makes it feel solid in our minds etc. But it definitely is gone now. They needed it for a few hours, and installed smoke kit and wheel locks at same time. Glad the popping is gone for sure tho.

They had my car for less than a full day for the front end TSB 05-9-11 and to replace the gas tank for the fueling problem. I had to wait for all the parts to come in as they were not all together for the front end. However, it does seem to take care of the front popping noise and it definitely is a little tighter in the front end. Kinda got used to the popping and holding the gas nozzle upside down. After I got the new tank I drove to the fastest gas pump I knew and just smiled as I held the nozzle handle all the way open! Wow, what a great feeling. The TSB 05-9-11 from Ford allows 1.5 hrs of labor so it shouldn't take long at all.

Yup. I got mine done on the 13th. The popping was driving me CRAZY!!!! I noticed how much tighter it felt on the drive home form the dealer. Frankly, it felt like it did on my first drive with 8.4 miles on it.
I was surprized just how much the handling had deteriated in the last 2400 miles. I just PREY that Ford got it right this time and it STAYS tight!

Dan, No, the cars not built yet will not need this done..Only the cars built before a certain date.. I dont have the tsb in front of me but it is listed on this site
I did drive mine more today on the way to the body shop :notnice: and found it to have a much more solid feel to it..I had just the upper sturt bearings replaced back in Dec..which fixed the popping for about a month..but it did not change the feel..With all the newer parts it's much better ...By the time I got home from the body shop..(In my fine loner KIA ) I had a message from my service writer..He wanted some feedback on how the car felt with the newer parts..I called him and let him know all was great..more solid and tighter..He responded Cool, I'm doing 2 more right now,Yours was the first we'd done..I can give these Guy's the on the parts..Great I feel like a test subject

Definitely Tighter driving now.

Let me state for the record- I am pleased as I can be now.
My brakes don't squeal
I am not poppin
Its aligned again
And its more fun to drive- its not so loose anymore.
Of course, I dropped her off empty and got charged $5 for gas. :bang:

Hey Dan, I just checked the TSB and it said that only vehicles produced before April 8th were affected. Thank goodness! Mine was built on April 15th. I've been listening for a popping/clunking sound but haven't heard anything like that, so I guess they're right!
