Fast turn signal clicking

Hi all, just the other day I noticed that my left turn signal was clicking really fast compared to normal. It's at least 2x as fast as it used to be, and the right one is still normal. It seems like the bulbs are fine, everything lights up normally, but is is a lot faster now.

What does this mean?

This symptom is classic for notifying you of a bulb filament burned out. Usually one of the two or three brake lights or possibly the front turn signal bulbs are out.

Turn on your headlights, check ALL bulbs are working when you use the turnsignals, brakes and flashers. Last ditch effort would be to reseat each of the bulbs and test again.

Yep, you've got at least one burned out filament. The flasher is current sensing so if one bulb blows, the current needed to "flash" decreases, which means the flashing becomes quicker. It is THE warning that you've got a non-working bulb.

I find the easiest way to check is to turn on the hazards and walk around the car comparing the left to right side bulbs lighting up.

Your turn signal's out. Does this explain all the other drivers that have been giving you the finger lately?

It only adds an extra 5hp if you switch over to synthetic blinker fluid.

My mechanic told me that the synthetic blinker fluid would make the bearings wear faster. I'm sticking with the old fashioned stuff.
