Here's a pic of the original...note the windshield and mirrors: http://www.seriouswheels.com/def/For...oncept-Car.htm
I remember seeing the original at the Petersen Museum in LA a few years back, although I don't think it's there anymore.

it was alright, its pretty much the same every year, a bunch of walking around and lots of plain jain or riced out cars. the ones that are really nice do change it up from year to year you hardly see the same ones twice. And this year there were A LOT of really nice well done cars. The light rain in the morning didnt seem to stop the fun.

no I didnt, sorry. As for awards I wasnt aware this show gave out any awards other than best in show.
here is a little info on that Mach III:
its actually a clone of the concept Mach III from 93. in 93 they made 2 (one in green) of them and a gentleman by the name of Dave Haymond set out to build his own. There is a great article on the car in the April issue of Modified Mustangs, where it graces the cover. But here is a quick breakdown. In 95 he bought a convertible of which he used to start making his Mach III parts and just recently finished building it. It now sits on a customized 96 chasis w/ a 4.6L DOHC Cobra V8. JBA headers polished Kenne Bell, Lightning 91mm mass airflow sensor, K&N filter, 42lb injectors, custom charged intercooler, Bassani Xpipe, Supertrapp mufflers, Borg Warner T-5 5spd, aluminum driveshaft, 3.73 gears, custom shift linkage, puts out 400rwhp, 425rwtrq, late model Cobra IRS rear, airbag suspension, Tokico struts with coil overs (front), stock Cobra calipers, stock Cobra brakes, custom lower A arms, 20x9" Vellano 3piece alloy chromed wheels (front), 20x11" (rear), continental SportContract 2 tires (255/30-20 front, 305/25-20 rear), composite body panels, custom LED taillights, custom headlights w/ Bosch components, 2.5" windshield chop, touch sensor door handles, functional hood scoops, functional rear scoops, Cobra brand carbon fiber seats, custom two-tone leather, custom pods for Autometer fuel and boost gauges, custom console, Kenwood CD/DVD nav unit w/ touch screen, and much much more. And IMO is better looking than the originals.
