Lets just forget about the 74 mustang ok.
It's pretty hard to forget about the 1974 Mustang since Ford sold 385,993 of them, the 4th highest sales year EVER for the Mustang.

BUT, with that said, we have to be correct. The posted photo is NOT of a 1974 Mustang. The 1974 Mustang had a smaller grille. The photo has to be of a later Mustang that had the larger grille opening to provide cooling for the 302 CID V8.

According to Brad's timeline it IS a 74.

actually having owned a 77 and having tried to fit a 74 grill to it the only difference in the two noses is the thickness of the nose from where it meets the hood to where it meets the actual grille (the area where the FORD are)

74 thick FORD area

75 thin FORD area

Asaide from chrom or other colors...and the blinkers changing over the years this is the only area that was different on the 74 vs the following years.
A 74 nose will not fit on a 75 car.

I don't know when exactly they changed..I think it may have been toward the very end of the 74 MY or at the very begining of 75

Looks like Aston found a design they liked and went with it..

I remember seeing my first Aston...from afar I though, "Mustang" and then I though, that Mustang looks a little weird...OH it's an Aston Martin.

all i care is the 05 is awesome. almost everything designed now was copied from something else. i guess its just like music its hard to really create a truly original song anymore. everything samples somthing else
