Exhaut noise with a Check Engine Light

I was getting ready to go to work yesterday and when I started my Mustang there was a slight rumble coming from my exhaust when i was moving along but almost unable to hear when at idle. As I was coming home from work I also saw that my check engine light had come on. I havn't noticed any loss in power and as I said I can only hear it as I'm driving along or accelerating. I didn't see any holes or leaks in my exhaust
and nothing seems to be loose. The cat's are still there and the only mod I have on my car now is an SLP Loudmouth axle-back kit. Any Idea's people? I have a 2005 GT a/manual and it has about 60k miles.

Thank's to the iternet I have found two possible cause's for the codes, either the cam phasers are bad (yikes), or the alternater has a bad diode and is sending out elec. interferance. My hope is that since my Stang is 7 years old an alternater is all I need. As for the exhaust noise it's prob juat a leak. This car is a daily driver and the last two winter's here in south jersey have seen a stupid ampount of snow, which brings with it SALT from plow crews. I will be getting it looked at later this afternoon. If anybody else has any other itdea's, feel free to share!
