Excellent work Guys!

BTW, Dan I bet you were beaming considering it was red!
You got that right. I had seen the windveil blue Ford of Canada car at the Barrie show and assumed it was the same car. Then steve tells me its a torch. My heart almost stopped in the middle of my kitchen.

Cool.. Glad you guys got to drive them

It is so smoooooth when driving it. I loved the 2 mins I had with both the auto and manual GT... even though I had some slight troubles with the manual (clutch CLUTCH!!)

What did you think of the red interior? I love how everything on the dash and all the controls are so easy to reach and beatifully laid out.

Bet you guys were still bouncing off the walls when you got done haha

awesome guys! glad you were able to get a first hand look at the car. it's also good to know the mustang source and it's people have such a good reputation that ford would extend that kind of generosity our way.

anyhow...mucho thanks. looking forward to seeing the video when it's available.

woohoo! this was such an awesome write up. the car looks absolutely gorgeous.. though i'm really quite pissed that the v6 manual was delayed on purpose. jeez. delay the auto for pete's sake. the manuals are cheaper and more fun. hehe. by the way, i love the fact that my v6 manual will do the quarter in less than 7 seconds. with a few engine mods i hope to have that number down around 6.

Great post guys!

Thanks for checking out the rear seat room, too. Sounds like it's not spacious, but usable. Quite reasonable for a sporty coupe/convertible. That's what I expected from the specs, but it's good to have it confirmed first hand. Just another nice thing Ford got right on this car.

I'm glad to see that you're getting some rewards for all the work you do keeping this site going for the rest of us.

Thanks again!

Hey, congratulations, you two!

Not that I really care, but I'm curious as to how difficult it is to actually get in and out of the rear seats. It appears that they are dipped pretty low, and it doesn't seem like it would be too easy to get out of the car from that position. Any insight?

Nah, pretty easy actually. Didn't have a problem in or out.

I have been smiling for the last few hours constantly

The looks on people's faces was amazing as we were going down the street.

Unfortunatley the area we drove in had perfect roads, so we could not find any potholes or rough sections, but the suspension was not jarring over any bumps that we did find.

Its the Thanksgiving long weekend up in Canada and Peter actually snuck out of his house to let us have a drive, so we were greatful.

He brought out a Torch Red GT with IUP, red leather seats, Shaker 500, concept wheels and a 5-speed.
You mentioned concept wheels, but the picture looks like the bright machined wheel. Is that a mistake, or am I missing something.

But, great to hear the review and that you guys got a free ride. That doesn't make the wait any harder! Nope, not at all!

It looks beautiful, but I think you should lean torwards the Red-Fire.

The machined wheels are basically production version rims that copy the Concept Mustang 20" rims, so we frequently refer to the machined wheels as the "concept rims". B)

I didn't notice the sill door MUSTANG plate that we can see on the driver's side of your photos. Is that an aftermarket or that's a factory plate....LOOKS AWESOME
