I assumed it would be April, May or even June before I got my car, but then it was scheduled to be built the week of 3/7, then it got bumped up to the week of 2/28. Now I'm turning into a psychopath. I check this site 25 or so times a day, talk about the car to EVERYONE, call "the number" daily, and toss and turn in bed at night trying to sleep. Granted, I checked the site often and talked about the car frequently before I ordered, but this is getting ridiculous.

Man, how much of a PITA am I going to be in the coming weeks when the car has actually been built and it's in transit? :bang:

Hey Sean, I know how you feel, and I'm sure almost everyone on the boards do as well. In the case of my car my dealer told me I would have the car in six weeks, but as time went on all I kept hearing from Ford was 'TEMP DELAY' (from 11/4 until 12/13 when it was scheduled for build).
and on the boards I kept reading 'No cars w/IUP or Spoilers would be built in December.
Then when the car was built I kept getting different ETAs, Delivery week of 12/25, then week of 1/7...then I got 'the call' on 12/28.

I ordered a few weeks before you, but got Serialized the same day as you, and my build week is also 2/28! The wait is agonizing, I admit, but when you think about the poor guys who ordered back in Nov/Dec and are still clean/unscheduled, you realize how lucky we are. At least that takes some of the sting out of the wait for me. That, and the fact that it's not like I'm currently driving a Geo, and this forum - all combine to make the wait somewhat bearable.

Okay, I admit it - the wait is not really bearable.

trust me Sean I know exactly how ya feel i ordered back in Oct. and if all goes well my car will be built some time next week. All my friends ask me like everyday where and when are you getting your car. I tell them hopefully in a few more weeks. Sometimes they look at me like i am crazy and say did ya even order a car. That will all change SOON when they see me driving around in her.

I’m not sure I understand the point of this thread is at all. You got your cars build pushed forward, but that’s not good enough for you apparently. Just wait like everyone else or go and pick a car from the lot, it’s pretty simple. If you do choose to get the car you ordered, once you get it, you will forget you even waited.

I've got the same problem. We are the support group. Ordered in Nov, got bumped back to the 28th as a build week, still not locked in. I've learned not to get my hopes up.

Yup, checked at 1:30am, 12:30pm, and just again around 5:30. No good news. I really hope I get produced this next week, or I'll really be disappointed. Fingers crossed, I just really want to have it by Mar 19th for a trip I've had planned. When I ordered it before Thanksgiving, I never thought it wouldn't be here in time for my Easter trip back home. If it doesn't get here, I'm going to really feel like I'm getting screwed.

Rags, get your DORA, all the info is on there. Yes, it's T-8-2, but you also need the other info on your DORA. There is absolutely no reason for them to not give it to you. You're buying a $25k car from them, there's no reason for them to not cooperate. They apparantly don't value your business.

You need the 5 digit dealer code. This is all numeric and is on the status and DORA's. Leave out any letters.

Yes T82 is your body type. Next is your order number which can be any combination of numbers and letters. This is also on your DORA and staus reports.


If you haven't gotten your DORA go today and get it. It should be available the day after the dealer put your order into the computer.
