Don't even try the VIN... it'll never happen. Get your DORA and go the route with the body code, dealer number, etc... I don't remember what all you'll need, it's been a few months. But give up on the VIN already, that dumb robot broad needs miracle ear.

Trying using the order number route...the VIN never seems to be understood, especially from a Texas boy!

If you have the VOC that will work too..I don't have a DORA but it had all the info I needed to find out today that I'm now locked in

She asks for the dealer number (5 digit number), she asks for your car year (2006), she asks for your body type (for the v6 it's T80 and I think GT is T82) and your order number from the dealer. I think that is all she asks for other than if it's a ford. I have only called her two times now and this is what I remember her asking.

Yeah, what they said, I used to call that thing weekly, and tried using the VIN # once. That was the only time I tried. Use the order # and you'll be fine!
I'm surprised this year they didn't get her a hearing aid!

This is hilarious!! The silly robot lady can't for the life of her understand T82. Then it connects me to a live person who tells me that I need to contact my dealership.
So...anyone have any hints on how to speak Tee Eight Two to an evil robot lady?

Christopher, I have good luck with separating each letter or number and emphasizing the end a little. Make sure you have a distinct "T" sound on the end of your "eight".
She is persnickety.
If you can't get her to understand, PM me your info and I'll call for you.
