Does the radio work?

Like a frigging dream! Of course though I had a B series stuck in back in March.

I am always curious to see what goes on when Ellie isn't with me..I turn on my CD and someone went to town with Metallica while they were testing her out.

I was there waiting and he brought her back. I can't hear the noise....
I said: Let's go.....

Off we went, she performed like a charm-Did all her wrongs. I even got her up to 110 on the interstate cause I was trying to get the hesitation thingie to work.(It didn't)

She popped
She squealed
She ticked.
I was pleased.

DOH! Sorry to hear....well, at least you HAVE your mustang!

Hope you get it fixed soon...

Glad to hear Ellie's fixed. Hope you have no more problems.

With that lemon law you posted, make sure that's the one for Alabama - they vary from state to state (in the one you posted there was a 24 month period, I believe here in Ohio there is only a 12 or 18 month period - make sure you know the time limits). And get detailed documentation for each problem you take her in for, and not just when you take her to a Ford service station, if you have to take her somewhere else get documentation from that place as well. Make sure it states what your complaint was, whether or not they fixed it, and what the fix was. Save all the documentation.

Any time they fix something check to see if it was previously fixed or you previously complained of the problem, so that you know if you have a "lemon" by the statutory definition. If you end up having a lemon, take copies of those documents to show the dealer, keep the originals for yourself just in case you need to get a lawyer involved. If it gets to that point, the problem will be resolved quicker, cheaper and easier if you can give the documents directly to the lawyer instead of having to file a lawsuit and go through a possibly long discovery process for him to get those same documents from Ford.

Hope things are alright so that you don't have to do that, but useful information just in case.

Happy (and problem free) driving. :drive:

Is it any wonder they couldn't hear anything? Sometimes I'd like to run them over when they come back with, "No concern found in the 10 seconds I looked at it, that will be $100 bucks please"

I once had a nasty vibration in my F-1Fitty. Of course, no warranty when it happened, of course no concern found, of course $100. I made them keep it and drive it. Took 4 days for them to figure it out. The parking brake was sticking on, but they never used it, until that day. :bang:

Member- I don't have an aftermarket yet. The ***** though- no wonder, I can't hear the friggin tick when I have the shaker blasting either. I took Steve for the drive of his life to show him what was going on too- I got up to 110 on 65. Then he said- would you mind going back to the dealer on 65 south?(I was gonna take 31-quicker). All that matters is I proved it was broke.
Actually- nothin done yet- they have to order new parts for the wheel TSB and will "do it all" at the same time.
That and I was hot and annoyed and ready to go home with my car today. They would not give me an extended test drive on their brand new manual.

ACTION:
On both sides of the vehicle, install a revised upper strut bearing assembly. If the vehicle was built before February, 2005 it may also be necessary to install a lower spring seat isolator if one is not already present. Refer to the following Service Procedure.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

Remove the strut and spring assembly. Refer to Workshop Manual Section 204-01.
Disassemble the strut and spring assembly.
If the springs do not have a rubber isolator on the bottom spring coil, install isolators. Clean off any dirt prior to installing the isolator. The isolator should be installed 4" (100 mm) from the end of the coil (Figure 1).

Having this one done soon as the parts arrive.Anyone else had it?

I didn't think it made sense that they had to order new parts and you took it home fixed. Anyway, I hope they fix this right the first (second?) time.

Get well soon Eleanor.

Just for the record:
I am not so weak as to actually sit and be taken lightly when Eleanor is at stake. I get the look, they go to listening. AND I know about everyone at that dealer, so it makes it slightly simpler.
I took care of it, and am pleased. Shes gonna be 100% very soon.

Actually, she looks lonely, I am off to take her for a spin around town...

Also- yours is the FIRST mustang ever been in for service. I call BS- I see them in for service every time I go by there

April, thats BULL---- mine was at that dealers shop last week, all week, and its still not fixed.

Can anyone confirm this, I was told that Ford has not released the front end strut isolator that is needed to fix the strut popping noise, so until that part is ready for shipment they cant fix the problem. anyone know if this is true?

I see em there all the time too. I already called BS. Their service dept blows, I only went cause I have friends there, and its habit.
And yes, Ellie is not fixed cause those parts are not ready yet.

They ONLY way my car will act up is to drive it as I posted earlier, get up on 65 and CRUISE for about 30 minutes, try to keep your throttle position changes to a minimum. Going fast doesn't do it, it's the time that seems to be the critical factor and the lack of throttle position changes. Try it, cruise from Alabaster south on 65 to say exit 205 that should be sufficent. Give it a try.
