I am currently at about 12 weeks into my mustang order that was built a month ago.
Thinking I may give it one more week to arrive before I return the check back to my bank as payments start on this car soon and I have yet to take delivery.
Sure, I will be out my $100 down payment however after this wait the car has lost its luster as the loom of specialty cars in the future are looking more attractive. Anyone else holding out for a possible Mach, Bullitt or Boss?

no way the wait is worth it. you can always trade in or sell the 05 for a cobra in 2 years or so. keep waiting.

I guess i'm confused as to why you have a bank check already when you have no car? Wouldn't it have been better to have the pre-approval, and then have a check issued when you actually needed it?

From: Waddington, NY (waaaay up north)
I wouldn't give up, you'll kick yourself the first nice day you have and you're not out cruising. If you do quit, the way these things are flying off the lot they'd have to be real jerks not to give your deposit back. Especially if they want your business when you DO buy.

Well, thanks guys, I will hold out for a while.
I was pre-approved since October 1st however when the car overshot the dealership by a whole state, I was left hanging on to the check.
