It snowed for the first time today. It was only supposed to snow an inch or two, now there's like 4 inches and it's still going.

My impressions of driving in the snow

-It stinks
-Zero traction
-First gear is NOT your friend
-Second gear is your friend
-Zero traction
-Traction control is just a theory, you tap the gas and it goes on
-If you don't buy snow tires, you are stupid
-You won't make it up a hill without your car going sideways
-Zero traction

You really really really need snow tires, I can't emphasize that enough. I'm a retard for not putting my X-Ice tires on yet. My opinion may be a bit biased because the roads here aren't plowed yet. When I was driving down a slight incline, there was a cop in a crown vic driving past me sideways. I can say though the car didn't go sideways when I drove up the same hill. Just take it easy and go real easy on the gas.

one simple idea....don`t drive...it`s not worth the risk or the aftermath of driving in that type of weather...did it last year with my 92 gt...never again........

We just got a DUSTIN' ( pun not intended ) of the white stuff Wednesday morning in northern IL. and today is sunshine and clear. The storm must have picked up steam as she went East. Good for us here, but bad for you guys.

Geez...I'm only like 50 miles from Dustin and it's sunny here, no snow. Now I have something extra to be thankful for today

i'm cringing at the thought of snow. At least on Long Island its fairly flat so no hills to worry about going up, plus I don't go out unless I have to in the snow and then its all about tkaing your time. When will spring be here???

I hear you... we are having a cold streak here in San Diego, too. The high will only be 65, but the wind chill will be ... uhh, err... 65.

I'm soooo glad I live where it doesn't snow. It's been in the 80's for a week. Cooled off today to 67 though. I took this pic last week.

I moved to the Bay Area CA over the summer and it's definately prime Mustang climate. In New Jersey I would never have considered a RWD car. It works well here tho. In fact, I've had the car 4 months and never seen the traction control light.

Gee guys, it's all realative. I learned to drive on big blocks with bias ply tires & drum brakes. We made it through many winters.

These new cars are a breeze to drive in the snow. I run stock tires all year.

Find a vacant parking lot & get your slide & stopping skills in order & you should be fine.
