I'd be curious to see that, too. Any takers? How about this . . . if we can get two owners in the Tampa, FL area, I've got the guy who will dyno them and I'll pay for it.

PM me if interested.

I think that is a great idea, we can see once and for all wether it is gearing or friction that allows the autos to run so good.

What's wrong with the GT auto people out there, here are two guys offering free dyno pulls to compare with the manuals, and no takers?

Im an Auto GT owner.

I would love to, but I live in Texas and can't drive to California for a dyno run.

Bump . . .

Offer is still open. Any two '05 GT owners --- one stick, one auto. I'll pay to get your cars dyno'd at Coastal Performance in Tampa.

Why would they be afraid? Once engaged, I'd doubt an auto would lose more HP than a manual?

Man, I would love to see this happen. I live in Ohio and would gladly put mine (when I get it - which should be soon) on a Dyno with the opposite tranny if someone would like to compare them. I would even pay for my own dyno run.

I hope you get some takers!

Well, I'll bite! I take delivery on my auto in 2 weeks. If nobody else takes you up on the offer, I can go to SoCal sometime in the middle of Janurary. The MLK holiday sounds like a good time

I've read a few dyno numbers and have seen the sheets posted that showed a couple of '05 Manuals coming in ~265-270 HP which is not too shabby. I haven't seen a dyno of an auto yet.

Of course, the best comparison would be a stock auto vs a stock manual on the same dyno, the same day, with the same conditions. Now THAT would be nice to see!

I hope you get it pulled off, dannygat!
