Dustin Gets Pulled Over Again Part X: Why did I sell my winter beater?

First of all I had a winter beater a week ago. Some guy offers me 1500 more than what I bought it for. Sold it, no brainer. Then 3 days ago it snows, great. Wasn't expecting snow for another month. I go to the auction tonight to scope out another winter beater to buy tomorrow and I get pulled over on the way home.

I drive by the Dunkin Donuts going 45 in a 35 (I think), then way in the distance behind me I see the tell-tale crown vic headlights coming up behind me. (It's pitch black) I downshift and slow down before it catches up to me. Sure enough it was a statie. I stop at the stop light, and they pull up behind me. With my brakelights on I can see them perfectly in the rear view. The passenger was pointing at my license plate and laughing the the driver starts laughing and I can see them checking out my car real good. As soon as I think to myself "these guys got nothing better to do and I'm getting pulled over".......the lights come on.

I pull over and the 2 of them are checking my car out front and back. They told me that MY LICENSE PLATE LIGHT WAS OUT . They come back later and tell me to get it fixed.

whatever. Bad cop, no donut

Agreed! :-) It's entertaining to read Dustin's posts however. Must be the license plate if it's not his driving...

In the past 27 years, I've been pulled over ONCE. And that was my fault because I only had parking lights on at night. And the cars I've had over those years are the types you would think would be pulled over, just because of what they are:

1980 White Z28 Camaro
1984 White Z28 Camaro
1987 Red Mustang GT
1995 Red Mustang GT
2005 Yellow Mustang GT

I've been pulled twice, and gotten a ticket...twice, dumb nonfunctional speedo. Does the liscence plate read "EAT DUST"? But at least you can start your pulled over, non ticket count, see if you can make it past nine...

Let me clarify, I've never once been pulled over for speeding. Every single time I was pulled over for purely harassment purposes. I got a muffler ticket once but it wasn't worth fighting a $30 non-moving violation ticket.

I believe now that loud red mustangs are genuine cop magnets. They make up reasons to pull you over merely for the thrill. Just like if I see a nice piece of donkey, I'm compelled to chase after it.

On a side note, I got a new beater today, 97 civic! It'll be up for sale though. But not before I can drive it around town with spinner hub caps on it!!!

I thought it was "FTHEPIGS"?

Just kidding, I know what your plate name is... (you used to have it in your sig at one time)

Congrats Dustin on not getting a ticket (again!)

nah I'll fix it, for the same reason why I have a front plate on my car. Oddly enough more than half the time they check to see if I have a front plate
