I read a whole lot of hype about the anthem commercial, and it is a cool concept, "the national anthem played by Mustang engines." But the soundtrack seemed really akward throughout the whole commercial, especially with traces of guitar heard in the background, i thought my media player or audio card was messed up at first. It kept sounding like it was going to fade into a nice guitar rendition of the anthem.
It would have been a home run commercial if they faded into Hendrix' rendition, or just did the whole commercial with the hendrix song.
Don't get me wrong I'm a huge mustang fan, but marketing wise this commercial was akward. I think people who are potential customers of the mustang and it's retro-styling i.e. "baby-boomers," will be scratching their head with anthem or will be left unmoved.
I'm just disappointed cause i see so much more potential in that commercial.
BTW
thanks Brad.
