I would leave the cold air kit on. You will still get the benefit of the outside air rushing over the K&N filter since it sits in the same spot. Since its not sealed it wont be truly ram air but it should still be better than just the air in the engine compartment. If you really wanted to you could probably build a box to fit in there with a rubber gasket to meet the hood.

Thought about using the inlet tube from the K&N and attaching it to the stock airbox along with a high flo filter. Will have to look at it to get a better take on how things can work.

Regarding your airbox, if you put the stocker back on with ram air, you'll need a custom tune, because it won't be stock, but it won't flow as well as the CAI....and the same goes for some sort of hybrid. I'd leave the CAI as it will be receiving cool, outside air from the hood, but the flow charachteristics won't be altered, therefore you won't need to change your tune.
