Doug @ Bamachips Saves The Cranford Road Trip

This post is simply a public Thanks to Doug at Bamachips for his help to our family yesterday morning.

<STORY>
My family and I decide we are going to drive my 2006 mustang GT from Minneapolis MN to Fayetteville NC, we leave Dec 29th and begin our trip.
We get to Chicago and I see that my car has thrown a code about bank 2 being too lean. I have seen this a few other times before...I clear the code and dont see it again for months. I get to the first toll booth in Chicago, stop, give the lady our money and she open the gate for my pony to get moving again. I put the car into first gear, let out the clutch and go....I get ready to shift to second and I feel a tremendous shake! Next I see the dreaded wrench on the dash. Im in limp mode. I pull over, get out my predator and look at the codes...pretty much the same except also bank 1 is lean. I clear the codes and the wrench goes out, I then think I should reload my custom tune. Well, I goto my performance tunes menu and guess what...my custom tune option is gone! I have a C&L Racer intake, 4.10 gears, borla mufflers so there is no way the stock or predator tune will work. So based on my little knowledge of air/fuel(note I said little) and began adjusting the air/fuel mixture little by little, I was able to get it to get a little ways each time I adjusted it but after a while it would just not run...like it was starved for air or fuel. I tried to call my local shop that did the tune, no return call...I then thought about Doug @ Bamachips. We are on the side of the road in Kentucky at this point. My wife calls my brother and asks him to look up Bamachip's contact number...my wife calls doug and he answers!!! I had to have my wife relay most of the info because I lost my voice the day before. Doug told me to basically to Max out the richness on 2K to 4K and 4K to 7K....he said the car would not be the performance beast it could be...but it would get us to NC. I started driving it and sure enough it worked like a charm!!!! With Dougs help we made it from Kentucky to NC with no more issues and I got online as soon as we got in and unpacked and ordered Dougs 92 Race tune. He took his holiday and actually worked o n my tune and sent it to me today! Doug has my vote for best customer service in the world! I just wanted everyone here to know the lengths that Doug would go to help someone in need. Happy new year to all,

Tommorow I will be running the new tune and let you all know how things go!

Thanks again Doug!!!
