Mike,

What dealer did you order from? The dealers I checked with on LI didn't have very good allocations and weren't willing to accept X-plan. Unless your dealer has outstanding allocation, you might end up with an 06. Good luck and hopefully I'll see you on the road soon (I work in E Northport).
I ordered from Burns Ford.....they have good allocation, and accepted my X-Plan. This is my 3rd brand new car I've bought from them since 1999, so I think I've given them enough business to accept my x-plan. Where do you live on LI? I work in Manhattan, but live in Greenlawn, which is right next to East Northport!

Burns Ford isn't a dealer that I tried. What kind of time frame are they predicting for you? The clock is ticking on the 05s.

I live in Smithtown. Originally ordered from Smithtown Ford last October 7th. Never got a DORA from them and after a couple months of disinformation, I canceled. I'd probably still be waiting for my DORA!

Let's hope that the allocation for the northeast picks up in the next few weeks.

I was told that I would get it sometime the end of May to mid June. From what I understand, the Northeast allocations should be increasign, as they were held back because it's wintertime in this region Dec-March. The "sunnier" areas got more allocation during this time, so now that the weather is nicer, it'll shift to the northeast.

Let's hope that's true, it hasn't happened yet. I was hoping to have mine by mid-April. Now it looks more like mid-May (hopefully).

BTW, I've only seen 2 V6s on the road on LI - no GTs. How about you?

I've only seen 2 2005 Mustangs on the road on LI...one was a yellow v6 and one was in Greenlawn, a black GT. Well, when you get yours, we should try to organize a mid-LI mustang meet. I still have my 2002, so I'm good to go...I'll just be getting the 2005 in addition to the 2002!

Check out the regional forum - Northeast. I put a thread in there for a potential LI meetup, for anyone interested!
