I put my '05 Mustang away for the night and noticed that the paint stripes on the rear left panel were missing. I only drive my car to work and park in a secure lot. At home my car is parked in my garage. I don't see any signs of vandalism. It as though they disappeared.

Has anyone had any problems with the paint stripes coming off the door or rear panels?

Since this thread was started at 11:36pm on a Friday night, I'm going to assume that you were drunk when you looked at your car and discovered your stripes to be gone. And then hopefully you woke up this morning, allbeit with a really bad hangover, and walked outside to your garage only to find your stripes had miraculously reappeared on your car. Dude, seriously... lay off the bottle.

Forgot to mention, you say rear panel. If you are talking about the section behind the tire (bumper) they never had stripes on them to begin with.

 

Maybe someone is playing a joke and put stripes on his rear right panel to make him think he lost ones he might have thought he had on his left panel.

J/K man. Hope you find your missing stripes, but just as everyone else here I'm a little confused.

 

Now I've heard the stripes are easy to remove if you apply a little heat, but this is the first I've heard of the stripes slithering off on their own. Give it a couple of days, maybe they'll come back on their own
