Does your clutch make a click noise?

When I step on the clutch, it makes a click noise. Is that normal? I remember when i first bought the car, the clutch was quiet all the way when you step on it. Im about to take the car into in dealer to fix some rattle and paint scratch and im wondering if this is normal? Maybe im being paranoid, but any feed back would be appreciated, thanks.

Mine does it too. 05 with close to 11k miles. I'm thinking it's the switch that keeps the car from starting unless the pedal is to the floor. Don't know for sure tho.

The click comes and goes on my car, so does a squeak every once and awhile.

I got the squeak.

I squirted the cylinder/boot area where the pedal attaches with some silicone spray. Seemed to help after a few days.

There are two plunger type sensors that are part of the clutch pedal assembly.

One near the top of the pedal arm, and one near the bottom. If you crawled into the footwell, and looked underneath the dash, you'd quickly see them both.

One to ensure the clutch pedal is fully depressed during ignition, and another to turn off cruise control when you depress the clutch.

my click seems to be coming from when I push the clutch in pass the friction point. I tried releasing and pushing the clutch in near the friction point and it makes the click noise. Im just afraid the click is an indicator of some problem to occur in the future. The dealer is 100 miles away so I want to bring the car in and get it all fix. Anyone else know the solution or problem?

As long as the click is fairly quiet, no problem. If it is loud, that isn't right.
