Does anyone know what the CA Emissions option is ?
I have an East Coast GT with the optional dealer ordered California Emissions System.
My question is:
What is it specificly on the engine for this car ?
Is it a part that can be removed ?
Is it a computer setting ?
Does it hinder performance ?
It is not requied in New Jersey and I would like to remove it if possible.
If I do a retune will that eliminate it ?

My guess is they make all cars with this "option" now days. I'd have to dig up my window sticker but I think it says that too, although I live in CA. It's not something you pay for it just means the car meets CA emission standards.

I seem to remember asking around when I was thinking about getting my car out of state (I'm in CA) and was told that all mustangs are 50 states legal for emmissions. The CA emmissions stuff was just paperwork for these cars.
