I called the VOPC as well, and they gave me the follow delays:

Parts Shortage
Quality Delay
Reduced production because they have too many on the lots because of delayed shipping
Then ship 'em. That makes no sense to slow production because they haven't shipped them yet.

Can't ship 'em if they have quality issues....

i just talked to a dealer in Louisiana and he told me that he is expecting his one( that was preorded) to be in this friday, i am taking this as a pretty good sign of truth becuase it has already been sold to someone else and i just walked into the dealer to ask for a brocher. I didn't even ask when he expected them in he just told me. So i don't know why he would lie about something like that. Because A. it was not my car and B. i wasn't there to tlak about getting one, just there for a brochure. Maybe its a good sign.

Well, better that than the antimatter containment units, or the warp drive.

I know there have been many rumors about delays, but the VOPC has the most accurate info. I believe the reasons they gave for the delays.

My dealer just called the VOPC about my car and he said "it has been produced and is currently on quality hold!"
Anyone have a gun?

I heard the problem was in the O pipe on the exhaust system. It was causing too much backpressure.

I just talked to a Dealer here in Texas and he said that some of their GT's were delayed, so maybe there is some truth to this rumor. He didn't have any details as to what might be causing the delay.
Hi... My husband works for Bill Utter Ford here in North Texas and they got a GT in today... He said it's beautiful! He said my V-6 should be in tomorrow....

Hey, just got an email from my dealer. I had stopped there late last week and got the status of the car (P5) which basically says it's been delivered. Since nothing was there he said that he checked with the order processing center this morning and they told him that 5000 units had been pulled for a quality issue and that his allocation was part of the 5000. As I am somewhat skeptical with all dealer issues, though I do trust what I hear from this guy, you never know if the info he gets is factual....Anyway, anybody know what the "QUALITY" issue is? Here are his exact words....Maybe this is why no pictures have been posted as of yet?

"I did call the order processing center this morning. What I found
out was that there are 5000 units pulled for a quality issue. These units
are being reworked (whatever that means, she could not tell me what the
issue was) and they are scheduled to be released by the beginning of
November. All three of the mustangs on my list of incoming units are
involved so I don't expect delivery until late October or early November." :notnice: :notnice: :notnice: :notnice:
:notnice: E-mailed Crossroads Ford (a local dealer) and they stated the same thing. They should be getting one in November or December

There is a very good likelyhood as well, that if you have a Vehicle Status Report showing "REL CONVOY" or "SHP CONVOY" you could be in for a very long wait. The way I understand it is that, those listed that way have simply been moved from the AAI lot to the Rail Station lot via truck. They have not been loaded to a train. Once the VSR reads a train #, or simply "RELEASED" you should be in the clear...
son of a b......

Just got off the phone with Varsity. All 15 allocated stangs (including my baby) are showing "shipped to convoy"

And to top it off, my order (scheduled to be delivered YESTERDAY) has been re-scheduled for next week (week of the 18th)

Fords inventory system must still need some work, Its showing dealerships have Mustangs that don't have any.... and is showing Bill Utter Ford as having none.

Anyone at AAI or Ford have any clue as to the point and length of this "quality hold?"
