You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you just might find, you may just get what you need!!! :headbang:  :spin:

I can sort of understand the colour and stripes. Nothing was really promised. It was obvious all three cars were painted the same colour - trilogy. Also, you shouldn't really expect pin stripes to be available on a regular production GT IMO.
But the 18's is where my beef is. This car was actually designed for 18's and will likely be offered with 18" upgrades from 06 onwards. I think Ford should have straighted this issue out before the launch.

ford obviosly wanted to have 2 "silvery" colors. Titanium is a very "medium" silver when compared to having Satin Silver and Mineral Grey. In other words if they went with Titanium and one of the actual colours, they would be too similar in fords mind. As for the stripes, they would be an expensive option, that many people would not want, and would hurt sales because a percentage of the mustangs on dealer lots will have stripes, which some may not want. Also, many people would not want to wait to order a car.

with regards to the above posting concerning stripes/cost
remember the 86' GT? the hood was fancy and everybody loved it, just don't allow the stripes on a V6. IMO the stripes were there because of the FORD GT, the new Cobra concept and the Mustang (all Shelby related vehicles...mmm makes you think). The stripes WILL return on the next Shelby Mustang GT-350 @ SEMA

true many people would buy the mustang with stripes, but then there will be the people who buy a mustang because it is value performance, and dont want to tack on a $2-3000 option.

Aren't there plenty of aftermarket 18's to choose from? I know that is just another expense but if you want the car and the lack of an 18 option keeps you from getting the car why not remedy that situation with aftermarket stuff?
