The picture doesn't show it but there is a small indentation. Since it was a dirt clod it made several scratches. I can't touch it up since it is dented. This aluminum seems awful soft.
I think they will have to repaint this whole stripe.

No the truck was dropping a dust cloud of Crap. I backed way off, I didn't know there was any damage until I got home and looked at the front end.
I was getting a dirt clod bath.

FYI, in the future you can always call 911 while following the truck and have a cop come pull the guy over with you. That way you can then inspect for damage and have the cop give the driver/company a ticket for not properly securing their cargo.

I can't wait to post a picture of someone leaving a finger print on my car (when I ever get it)? Really though, must people always post such small irrelavent material. Sorry, flame me. It's amazing what the mods decide can stay on this portion of the website. Brad needs to make a new section. "Bad things that have happened to my car" section

Really, is this legal in all 50 states? I am sure that would be helpful to a lot of people! Also, I am sure it will keep the cops busy for us faster drivers... lol

I hate when I get stuck behind those gravel trucks.Talk about heart attack.I'll stop traffic if I have to in order for the truck to get waaaaay in front of me.
Oh,and Matthew, that wasn't a very nice thing to say to a fellow mustanger, especially this time of year

Hmmm. If I sold forum filters, that'd be a decent name. I'm sorry, I just think it's odd for some of us to take pictures of minor, minor damage and place it on a website for others to comment. Yes we know it stinks an I would hate for that to happen to me. Sorry for the misfortune.

I had to replace a windshield in the 06 because of a rock kicked up by a tractor & trailer. Not his fault, I was in the wrong place at the wrong time. At least it didn't hit my paint B)

Sure it is! Why the heck would you NOT call if somebody damaged your property, especially something that you care a lot about?

A few years ago I had some damage from a gravel conveyor belt being pulled on the freeway. A piece of grating about 2' x 2' (walkway) hit the front of my rental car and took out the headlight. I called 911 and followed the truck until they pulled him over.
So calling 911 is appropriate if the damage is serious. If it is a rock chip in the window I won't call 911, just my insurance company.

Sorry to hear about the damage Dave
Are you going to turn it into your insurance or just take care of it yourself?
