I am very happy with the overall fit and look, I drove the car to work today and took some pix, the color match is great in the daylight, and from experience silver colors can be very tough to match and get the flakes right...the construction and materials of the spoiler are the same as OEM...and American made!

Spoiler looks great!

Do you know what the height dif between stock and this DG one is? Also can you confirm whether the outboard bolts are optional? I am hesitant only because I do not want to drill more holes.

Its such a different design from the stock wing that its hard to say whether its much higher or not, it does extend past the trailing edge of the the trunk lid, the stock spoiler does not...but I think that is what is appealing with the Shelby spoiler.

On installing with out drilling, I suppose you could by adding more 3-M tape, but on my car I doupt the old spoiler will never go back on, so the added security of two extra holes is a moot point.

I cant see anyone being dissapointed with the DG spoiler, especially at the price he is giving TMS members

DGs price is $295 painted, he charges actual shipping, not an inflated umbrella shipping figure.

Above, you stated "Note how spoiler attaches with new supplied hardware in outer hole and factory holes from stock spoiler installation", what hadware is used to secure to spoiler through the factory holes? With the new spoiler laying on back of your car, I don't see anything but tape in the area where the factory holes will meet. Do you have to drill some starter holes and screw into them?

I have one of the earlier 3dCarbon 3d500 spoilers that attached with two bolts, using the two rearmost factory holes. However, soon after installing it (twice), it lifted on the ends. 3dCarbon recently sent me a brand new spoiler. The new spoiler attaches using the two rearmost factory holes and also on the ends, using a total of four bolts, not screws, not to mention the 3M tape all around the perimeter. I too will have have to drill the two extra holes in my trunk. From my experience, without the two outboard bolts/holes, the spolier will lift, even when properly taped.

This just doesn't make sense to me, the factory GT500 spoiler doesn't have any bolts out at the edge. It uses the four normal GT holes. Why does 3DCarbon or anyone else have lifting problems?

the spoiler is first attached by installing the outboard screws, then drilling up through the existing center holes into the new spoiler and installing selftaping hardware, there is a metal plate cast into the spoiler for added stiffness.

It really is a simple, secure installation

the OEM Shelby spoiler looks like it uses lots of 3-M tape which is very strong, I am quite sure that would have worked just fine on this one as well, they just approached it in a different manner with less sticky tape.

Can you clarify this? On the first post above you stated the tape was covering the middle area holes. On the second post above you stated that you had to drill up through the existing trunk cover holes into the spoiler. Which is it? If the holes are indeed already on the spoiler, do these have flush nuts in them like the outer spoiler holes? Thx...

Also, if you have a scanner, could you post the instructions?

Is everyone still happy w/ these DG spoilers? The time has finally come to swap out spoilers, so I was wondering if there was any more feedback out there.

I think it is answered above....the tape in the middle covers the area where you have to drill new holes in the spoiler. But first you have to drill the two outer holes and screw the spoiler to the trunk lid. That way it is all lined up to drill through the stock holes that are already there into the spoiler. He states that they use self-tapping screws where the 4 inner factory holes are in the trunk lid. I hope this makes sense to everyone.
Anyway, I understand it.

It doesnt sound like there is a whole lot of interest. It's a very nice spoiler. Why not contact DG and see if you can get a group buy going and lower the price by %20 I'm sure that would pick up the sales.

I don't know about a group buy, but I did get in touch w/ them. Though the spoiler is listed on their site for $339 shipped, they said they would still honor the $295 + $25 shipping = $320 shipped and painted! So a bit of a break from normal pricing. Good enough for me anyway, I'm ordering one today!

True to my word, my order has been placed. Talked directly to Craig DeGraff himself. Nice guy. Said the spoiler will ship tomorrow, and likely be here by the weekend!! Whoo-hoooo! And since it's suppose to rain Thurs and Friday here (and thus I won't be driving the Stang), maybe I'll start taking the factory wing off now.

The price displayed on their website is $339, how does one get the special TMS discount? Is there a checkout coupon code?

Just call them, and ask for the TMS price: $295 + $25 shipping.

I'm expecting mine anyday now.
