Do these louvers attach to the glass with the 3M tape or to the painted surface? I ask because these louvers look to be about the same size and shape as the window glass.

That is exactly how I clean my windows beneath the louvers.
It works great.

WARNING don't purchase louvers from DG Custon unless you want overspray all over the back side. i made the mistake with yellow louvers, you should see the back side. DG Custom seems to think you can't see it from the inside. i had to have mine painted on the inside after paying $185.00 for them. will post you some pictures soon and you decide. hello to all at DG Custom from a not to happy x custom.

dude, keep the bashing down. ok, you obviously were caught, you bought the product, were unhappy with the overspray, MODIFIED the louevers it WITHOUT returning it and then tried to return it after you modified it for a full refund. doesn't work in business.

if you weren't happy with it in the first place, you should of sent it back, but you didnt., so you screwed yourself there....

everyone knows when you buy something from a company and if something is wrong with it, you send it back, you dont try to fix it yourself and hope that when you can't fix it yourself THEN send it back.

I have no complaints with DG Customs Louvers. They actually look good from the inside.

Not bashing.....just letting people know that the product has to be worked on before you can install them. We e-mailed the owners and got a very flip response and we did fix it ourself but the company should make customers aware that the product is only painted on one side and the other will need some work before install.......They are fixed after much hard work and are installed because we did like the fit of this louver....our concern is that they need to make everyone aware of the extent of work it takes to make them useable.....I did not ask to be bashed by you Maverick and don't appreciate it....Is DGCustoms giving you a discount to promote them on this forum cause it sounds like it...you butted in on the other post and ask them to reply so how much of a discount are you getting??????

not giving me any discount whatsoever. I'm just a simple forum member on here. I was very pleased with the products I bought from them, they were a small company, and to repay them for their great products, I asked them if I could kindly show my thanks by putting their products on TMS with their permisson, advertised on here from the kindness of my heart. they didnt pay me anything nor did they do anything except please me with their products.

DG CUSTOM AUTO reply

Reply from DG CUstom Auto posted on previouse thread by Stangdaddydc:

"As a reply to the negative comments which has been posted on this Thread. We don’t paint the inside of the louvers do to the fact we try to produce quality product at an affordable price. The amount of time it would take for our painter to tape off the inside and spray either with black or paint to match, would in turn make our price to the public a lot higher.
Like I stated to Stangdaddydc we would have gladly accepted the products return and issued him a refund had he contacted us first. Steeltownstang got a refund even after he installed them on his vehicle and then deciding they had some flaws. Our return policy is simple, if you aren’t satisfied with our product don’t install it or alter it and contact us regarding a refund. Regardless, of the negative statements Stangdaddydc has posted, we are taking his comments to heart. We are currently updating our website and EBay postings to notify potential customers that the exterior of our product is finished and the interior isn’t. Though we don’t like to hear negative comments we are always trying to improve our product as well as our customer service. So, finally one more apology to Stangdaddydc for the apparent overwhelming disappointment he has for our louvers and our customer service."

Just to clear thing up regarding
MaverickMLFD371, he is not on the company payroll nor does he get a discount in return for his defense of our products. He is a valued customer whom has turned out to be an awesome person to know. We value his advice and guidance on our Mustang products.
We are a small manufacturer expanding our merchandise platform, as well as, product knowledge base. We center many of our changes and alterations on the responses of our customers. We have taken feedback regarding flaws and imperfection from customers such as Steeltownstang. Due to those responses, we have changed our manufacturing process from a vacuum mold to a injection style (this limit’s the flaws in product). As well as informing our potential customers of such detail as, “exterior is painted only”.
Again, thank you for your time. As always, negative or positive feedback is always welcomed with DG Custom Auto….sometimes the most useful lessoned learned are those that are the hardest.

OK....I ordered and installed the louvers first and was disappointed in the back as they had overspray and were very dirty....but stangdaddy and I cleaned them and on the dark color installed and they looked ok......I emailed the company with my displeasure and they emailed me back and said they would check into the problem and correct it. So we ordered the Screaming Yellow for stangdaddy's car because they are a good fit...not perfect on the front or back...but for the money ok.......when he got his it was so much worse than mine.....we did not expect the back to be painted but we sure did not expect them to be as bad as they were....stangdaddy just wanted the company to know that they might want to post a disclaimer about the product....we are finding that good customer service is hard to find...we spend alot of money on Mods and this product was exceptionally unsatisfactory.....so he wanted to let others know what to expect if you purchase from them.....a couple of hours of cleaning and painting on the backs before install....period......I have asked him to let this go as we don't want to start any post that will not result in a positive solution or outcome in this situation.....I hope DGCustoms takes our poll on ( Exterior Mods) to heart and prints a disclaimer on thier website so other potential customers will not be shocked and disappointed like we were.......we take pride in our cars and could not put this product on as it came to us.....so to all thank you for your support and comments...Wishing you all Happy Holidays.....

I think the company needs to be more specific than just saying "exterior painted only" ...let people know they will arrive with overspray and need cleaning before installing......
