I was looking at the densechargers on densecharger.com and noticed that it added 50 hp to the 03 cobra engine. A full kit for the 4.6l is about $150 so I was wondering if it fit on the 05 would it be worth getting??? Does anyone have one on the current mustang????

Thats on the 03 cobra, Look at the numbers for teh Gt 8=10 hp.

As a general rule, FI cars benefit from mods more than NA, underdrive pullies can add as much as 30whp on the 300zxTT's.

Only in ricer dreamland. Rakshas is right, MAYBE 6hp on the current gt, its more like 4 if its the only mod. Does help throttle response though.

On a current GT for about $1000

Add a larger throttle body
Install Hi-flow air intake
Reflash the chip
Get a flowmaster exhaust(full kit)

About 75-100 extra HP, cheapest way I know to get that much...

does anyone know about using programmers instead of chipping? i've never done it, or had a car to do it it, but a friend of mine bought a diablo programmer for his truck.

how is that as an alternative to chipping? from what i understood, you could run the program, and if you needed to have the car serviced, you can restore the computer to its default settings. but it seems like changes it made (like a chip does i'm sure) are actually beneficial to the car. like shift points in an auto, fuel air mixture, things like that.

sorry...i don't know a whole lot about them, just thought i'd ask.

So what's a good CAI for Mustangs? It's the only mod I plan to get. For a while, at least.

This one seems respectable, but don't expect 50 hp out of it.

It wont make nearly that much hp

CAI(150), Throttle body(235), Reworked Plenium(190), Catx/catback(800), adjusted maf(150) tune/chip(250) Is good for about 80hp.

Then do a set of 3.73's(400), aluminum flywheel(300), and aluminum driveshaft(150)to liven it up more.

And THEN do weld in subbies(300) upper and lower rear control arms(500) springs (200) steering rack bushings(40)/bump steer kit/x2 ball joints(180)/strut tower(150)/camber-caster plates(200)/9psi procharger with intercooler(4300)/ blah blah blah.........its much cheaper to buy a cobra.

Boomer, what constitutes HydroThunder?
Loud exhaust.
Either Macs or Borla stingers.

HydroThunder one of my fav games.
Hydro, being water...blue...
Thunder being loud

And I was thinking of nicknaming her one of the boats from the game.
Miss Behave
