Brand new! Picture is not of actual car...this should be very very close as this picture came from Ford.

 

I would not mind them doing the auction IF they started at actual invoice.

 

The auction isn't for selling the car; it's selling the right to buy the car. You have to pay the winning amount PLUS sticker.

 

Well, after the first one - we all knew it would just be a matter of time before others started showing up. I guess if someone is uneducated enough to actually bid on these, then it is their own downfall. I still believe it is shady business though.

I can happily sit on waiting for my car until this mess settles down! The only reason you could be ignorant enough to do something like this is to BE the Joneses.

These People are crazy :crazy: This is exactly the kind of B.S. that made my Dad not buy my Mom a New Thunderbird when they came out. Dealers just want to Rape People just to make some Fast Cash.

 

It’s all supply and demand. I don't see anything ethically wrong with this. As long as the dealership keeps its promises to its customers then all they are effectively doing is taking advantage of the high demand which is what you do in a capitalist country. Now if they told a customer they were going to sell it to them for one price and then after seeing the high demand changed their mind and asked for more money I would see an ethical issue. I’m sure the dealership would be happy to sell a GT for MSRP or less but you will have to make an order and wait. I think there is a dealer in Vegas that is already selling its stock that has not arrived yet at 5000 over MSRP and the are doing it lottery style with a few grand deposit required and no guarantee that you will even get one. They will give the deposit back if you don't.

 

I've got a bad feeling about this.

As cruel and full of avarice as it is, I must agree with Zinn here.

If someone actually chooses to enter into this agreement, that is their own crazy business.

To paraphrase P.T. Barnum, "No one ever went broke underestimating the stupidity of the American public."

 

This is a perfect example of why car buyers try to squeeze salesman for every last dime.

I understand there are many quality salesmen, like Kev and Bek. Even they have to understand how us car buyers feel.
