Yeah, I know what BS stands for, I was attempting to make a joke out of the whole "BS" abbreviation, "I think it's a bull**** degree". I've been in school for a BS degree in Civil Engineering since the fall of 2000.

School of hard knocks! US Navy way..... 17 plus years, running the flight deck on a few different Aircraft carriers. Out of 17 years only 4 has been on shore duty, the rest sea duty. I'm only 3 classes from associates then I'll get my Master Training Specialist and work on my BS. Still up in the air if I'm gonna get out at 20 or keep going. Depends on if I can find a good job down in NC when I'm due to get out.

Not considered demographics, I kinda realized that later, I had another intention for the poll but I thought it'd be too mean so I changed it to education.
Oh, please tell us your original intention?

I'm full of BS if that means I have a degree.... I have a bunch of technical certs, though.... but I know where I stand with the degree guys.... and that's not very high up on the totem pole.
... would it help if I said I'm working on my ASSociate's?
Hey, we're all into Mustangs. That's what matters on this forum! I don't think the intent of this thread was to make anyone feel better or worse about his or her educational level. At least I hope not. With that said, BS in Psychology here (can you tell? ) from Notre Dame (the small one in CA, not the big one in IN).

.. I graduated from high school 5 years ago and still have 2 years left before I get my degree... I think its a BS degree though. Kind of doesn't help that counselors/advisors have no advice for me when I ask them questions. And no, I haven't taken any time off. I've had "2 years left" since I transferred from the community college to the university....
I was in a similar situation at one point. I realized my advisors were trying to stick me in classes that they wanted to fill, not necessarily classes that I needed to graduate. Once I made it a point to learn the college catalog and class listings like the back of my hand and became my own advisor things went smoothly.

^Yea, that's about where I'm at. Being I have no possible slots to fill with those "gen ed" classes it will be all civil from here on out.

Who wants to ride one of my rollercoasters once I get this degree?

I am self taught- I have my own business- I do accounts receivable- aka find the money.

Hubby is super phone man...certifications 3 miles long and he runs all the offices on the east coast from Bama to NY. PLUS 5 years of military.

But unfortunately, no college for me. By the time I was 22 I had two little childrens.
So thats why I am now 32 and just now getting my dream car- kids are old enough not to mess it up with juice and animal crackers.

EleanorsMine - I hear ya. My 10 year old is nearly as excited as me about the car. He won't eat or drink in it, but he is upset that he can't ride in the front seat! Of course, his excitement has softened as we are in our 13th week of "The Wait". Hope it is here by June so I can ferry him tro his baseball games in it.

Well, you know what they say. If you don't have an education, you have to use your brains

I put associate's in lieu of some college. I spent 7 years in the Navy right out of high school as a nuke submariner. Married a pharmacist Started back to school 2 years ago and still have 3-4 years left at the rate I'm going. 2 classes a semester doesn't make things go quickly. I work in IT so make decent money now, but really want to get into 6 figures so my wife can buy nice toys for the kids, me included Oh yeah, I need to make that much so I can afford to build an RV-10 kit airplane too.
