decals for plenum cover

tonight i stopped by graphic shop by my house. the guy said he would make up what ever i wanted,but they won`t hold up from heat in engine bay.is this true?if it`s not can anyone send #or email address of someone who can.i`ve seen a couple of posts with POWERED BY FORD decals on .are they holding up? thanks.

You should have no problems. Just ask him to use 2 mil automotive grade vinyl. It has higher heat resistance than 3 mil vinyl. You shouldn't have a problem. It would take a lot of heat to melt the vinyl. The first thing that would happen is the adhesive would become gummy, but as long as you don't touch the vinyl when it is hot, the adhesive will turn back to its original state once it has cooled off.

I have the 'Powered by Ford' on my Plenum cover and a 'Mustang GT' on my C&L and I have had no problems with either.
