Is it me, or does it look like it still has the stock exhaust? I wouldn't see any point in making all that power, and not upgrade the exhaust.
Yeah, I noticed that. Looks really wimpy. :notnice:

Actually, the exhaust isn't completely stock. The STS twin turbo setup is remote mounted and the turbos actually replace the mufflers as you can see in this shot from their website (different car, but the same kit):

That I did not know. Guess I was thrown off by the stock looking tips on that show car.

Yea. It's hard to tell at a glance. They (STS) really need to put some nicer tips on that kit so it doesn't look so tame... Of course, when you hear these cars running you know something is not... normal...

You may notice that in some of the pictures of this car they actually dropped a couple small mirrors under the tips so you could see the turbo setup without having to crawl under the car.

hmmmm,

does having that kind of setup affect engine reliability? Interesting...

No more than a supercharger at similar boost levels. I think this kit runs around 5 lbs of intercooled boost so it's pretty tame.

It must run cooler, But what kind of turbo lag would that have?

You hear a lot of talk on the forums about how this setup can't work because of this or that. All I know is I've driven one of their twin turbo GTs and the lag was not bad at all. In fact, if I remember right, it delivered full boost by right around 2500 RPM, and the power was there as well, pushing 450+ to the wheels (at around 7-8 lbs I think). Fun car to drive, and boy did it sound cool. Very unique!

De Berti....not sure who he is, but he's also got a purple Hummer H2 and a purple sand rail in this months' 'Truckin' magazine. The 'rail is pretty wicked stuff actually with twin roots type blowers on it. I think he's involved with the billet parts aftermarket. He made a lot of the bits used on both of vehicles in the magazine. I'm not real sure about a huge purple hummer.....Apparently he likes purple.
