I just came back from the L.A. Auto Show, where I spotted this custom Mustang GT Roadster. Enjoy.

Brad, feel free to add these pics to your site.

it looks better in person than it does in the pics...550hp, or was it 500 it claims? oh well. i think the aluminum highlight down the hood that continues onto the dash is sweet lookin. the rims are too big to even look practical tho with that body kit and the fender flares to fit the wider tires. its alright, but too overdone.

is that called a roadster, just because its a regular convertible with a piece of plastic covering the back, or is it really modified to the whole body, etc.

That looks pretty bad in my opinion, and not good bad either!! I just don't like oversized body kits and fender flares but that's just me. It probably be would be awesome drive with 500 hp but it just doesn't look that great. Don't like the plastic body color lines across the headlights either.

It looks like they ditched the entire top as nothing is visible above the trunk line (which the top would be).

I dig the chopped front glass, but really have to wonder about the gated shifter -- is it just a metal overlay, and if so....why?

Guys,

just thought I'd share these pics I took at the LA Auto Show thursday night. I got a sneak preview on thursday night thanks to a friend. Unfortunately, they didn't have the Shelby yet. This GT was some guy's garage project and somehow he got it into the show. There was no more information on it except some "550hp" stickers on the side. The Ford reps there didn't know much about it, either - whether it was blown, stroked, etc.

Sorry, I know they're not the best pictures.

This GT actually has the STS twin turbo system on it.

I actually dig that shifter. Not too bad. Kinda like an old hot rod.

Nope, not the SSE style grille. I think its a different company. Theres a thread somewhere about it.

Is it me, or does it look like it still has the stock exhaust? I wouldn't see any point in making all that power, and not upgrade the exhaust.
