Dealership delima

I just had my rear brakes done at the dealership, got it back and now there is a terrible squeaking noise coming from the rear brakes, so I took it back in and the said the pads had developed a glaze, supposedly they fixed it, went to pick it up and guess what still squeaks, take it back again, this time they say that it is squeaking from the painted calipers. My calipers have been painted almost since I have owned the car, they did not squeak before they did the brake job so why would the paint make the new brake job squeak. Anybody else ever hear of caliper paint making the breaks squeak?

Talking

LOL
I wonder what they would have told you for a story if the calipers weren't painted.
Did they turn or change the rotors when they put on the new pads?

What do you mean by "had your brakes done"? New pads? Rotors turned? What did the dealership do?

You seriously need to find another dealership. That is really lame, blaming the brake squeal on the painted calipers.

Tell them you would like that in writing, so you can post it all over the internet so everyone could laugh at their lame excuses.

thanks for all the responses, yea i raised a little hell and told them the calipers had been painted since i bought the car and had never squeaked until after the new pads where installed, called back a couple hrs later and suddenly the found what was causing the squeak and it had nothing to do with the caliper paint, they lubed the caliper pistons and deglazed the pads again and wala no squeak. I guess this a case where the squeaking whell did get the grease.
