I've been searching lots looking for the exact same Mustang I have on order. Very few non-custom orders seem to have the Shaker 1000. Can a dealer install this option?

jbuch, it's pretty much been the conclusion of this board that the 1000 is overpriced. You seem to be better going to the aftermarket if you're looking for that much boom.

Yeah, go with aftermarket, I got the 1000 watt, had problems with the first head unit .... I mean its loud and everything, and very nice, but aftermarket can achieve the same results for less.

My friend is really into car audio ... mostly subs though. He's agot an 18 inch sub with a ported box (takes up the whole back seat) and hes gotten it up to 150 decibels. Its crazy.

I just don't want to have to deal with going aftermarket and tearing apart my Mustang to put everything in. I'll focus on permorance and looks before that, but I have a good audio system stock as it is.
