Went to visit my dealer today to find out my order status. I originally ordered a 2005, but decided to change my order to a 2006 late June. I got hard copies of the VOC and DORA today, but no VIN number or build date assigned yet.

I was told that the build rate for the new 64E wheels is only 12%. I was also told that the GT auto/manual split is 50/50. So those ordering the 64E, you'll be waiting longer. Worse off, if there are 10 people in line for a manual (like me), and then 1 for an auto, the person with the auto will probably get their unit before most of the manual orders because of the 50/50 build allocation.

Questions:
1) Can any other dealers confirm this?
2) Those with a build date of 8/8 or 8/15, what is your wheel/transmission configuration?

Darn, I was hoping to get a build date in August, but it's looking like Sept. or even Oct. now

 

My build date just moved to 8/15 (from 8/8).
