Dealer Advertising/ Emblems
I would defenantly say NO!!!! This is the dealer's strategy of using you for free advertising.....they put their emblems everywhere they can and I HATE IT!!!!!!!!
:notnice: I think if they want to do that, THEY SHOULD BE PAYING YOU TO PUT THEIR EMBLEM ON YOUR CAR

it is horrible and it takes away from the car tooooo much.......I could live with a temporary tag on the front or rear, but NO PERMAMNENT TAGS! there is 1 on my lincoln, and when I tried to take it off, there is a bunch of....ummmmm....looks like rust under it......it has ruined my paint!
I don't mind especially w/ my dealership. They are a bunch of great guys and I wouldn't mind doing a little free advertising for them. Besides, I don't see the fuss for it unless you really got burned by your salesman or something.
btw, I was at this dealer, and I saw a 2005 MUSTANG CONVERTIBLE....first in north alabama (sticker says)....and when I go closely to see it, I see dealer slapped their tags everywhere!....look at this pic....u can see 2 (one on the license plate, and one above the right tail light....it makes me sick
I would make them remove any dealership stickers/emblems before I would agree to buying it. The plate frames are fine since they will easily come off but no way do I want any kind of stickers/emblems pasted to my car.
I wouldn't want a big JcPennys patch sewn onto my clothes or a giant sears emblem on my refrigerator. I think it's rediculous dealers would do that.
Have yet to find a dealership I'd give free advertising to.
This guy from work bought a new jetta a few years back, had a huge graphic on both sides of his car with the dealerships name. He was getting $200/month for letting them do that, not sure how long he agreed to leave it on, or how they payed him, just what he claimed when I asked about it. He was fired awhile back so maybe that was a smart decision for him to help pay for the car.

Working at a dealership, I always thought it a little over-the-top when people fussed about emblems. But I don't have one on our 05. If it was a truck or SUV or Focus, I don't think it would matter; just didn't want clutter on the back of our new baby. Tag frame is O.K. I think...
When I ordered, I told the salesman the plate bracket would be ok, but not to have a gaudy sticker anywhere on the car.
As said earlier, I don't mind the bracket since its easy to take off. Its a nice compromise since they like their advertising on the back when you leave their lot.
