Hey All,
After dropping my car off for an oil change, I ask them to listen for my tranny whine. I have a V-6 auto. The whine is most dictinct at 40 MPH and 60 mph. At the end of the day, I called to see if it was ready. The service advisor told me it could be days. the noise is not in the tranny, but in the rearend. At this point, they don't have any idea what the problem is. They did offer me a loaner which I appreciated greatly, as I did not buy the car from my local dealership. I will keep everyone posted as I know I'm not the only one with the whine.

The service advisor indicated that there have been other minor problems to address already. He mentioned that the software in some need updating, but the update isn't even available yet. I hate to sound like sour grapes, but this is why I traded my Mini Cooper.
