D.A.R.E. Mustang

I have seen this Mustang running around Wichita Falls for about a year now and finally found it stationary at the World of Wheels car show this weekend. It sure is colorful!

Ironically, you probably have to be on drugs to be impressed by it...a V6 with taped-on fog lights, an ugly light bar and even uglier light bar brackets?

Gaydar detectors.

DARE comes into the shop like 3 times a year asking for auto parts for "pimping out" a vehicle so kids don't do drugs. What the hell does a fancy patrol car have to do with that?

Woah woah woah... who said anything about SELL?

Charity buddy... they come in looking for blowers, nitrous, etc all for free.

We started helping them in the beginning, gave them wheels/tires, etc. but they kept coming back and eventually we had to say enough is enough!

Yea, didn't want you to get the wrong idea. We donated over 3k worth of parts to them, but after a while we were like "how does putting a procharger on your tahoe help kids out?".

I'm not knocking what they're trying to do, I just think government money could be used a little bit better. But I'm sure there is much worse cases of government money being spent the wrong way!

Drugs are bad, mmmkay?

I remember when we had that program they had a test car that delayed reactions as if you were legally drunk. Maybe that obscene looking aparatus is related to that feature...
