Well it's still snowing and I'm still not driving. But....spent a bit of time at the dealership the past few days. New wheels (from the '04 collection and if anyone says they don't fit, take a look), new badging and striping, both from '67 and got rid of the GT emblem from the side fenders. I put on a pair of running pony's (didn't want anyone saying I had "GT" twice on each side LOL) to cover up the locator holes. Finally, black-out vinyl on the rear and my final retro touch, M-U-S-T-A-N-G lettering on the trunk lid, ala 67-early 70's. And oh yeah, the side mouldings are GONE!!! More pics in nicer surroundings on a better day when all this white crap is melted.

Anyways, here it is and I'm so proud. Now if I can only drive it somewhere .

Yes, know it and yup, I'd love to. There's a few more new stangs around here I think (and a few more coming within the next month by the sounds of it), maybe when the weather's a bit better, sounds like a plan.

Lookin forward to it,

Mark

Looks good Each time I see Legend lime I know I made the right choice! Mustang across the back looks mint (something Ford maybe should've done)

We need to see pictures of the rims in the sunlight in these pictures they look like a void.

I keep counting the days until my order is placed.

I like the GTA idea, very cool. Also pretty cool that the dealer lets you work on your car at their place. How many dealers would do that?

WOW. That looks really good man. I especially like the MUSTANG lettering on the back. I don't think I've seen that from anyone yet. I really like those black wheels, also. However, did you think about maybe getting black striping on the side instead of white? I mean it looks good the way it is, but I just think it would flow a little better since you have those black wheels.

Either way, it looks great.

The running ponies in place of the GT emblem looks real good, too! Where did you get them? Well done.

Holdercal - they're Ford Racing 17 x8's, 30 mm offset vs the stock 05 Bullitts which are 45 mm offset. The extra 15 mm pushes them "out" just enough which is what I wanted. The 05 Bullitts from FR will be coming out in April but I wanted these ones. Besides....they were a good deal!

Nice. I like the badges & the stripes. It's defiently different. I haven't yet seen a LL yet but the pictures are nice. I hope the snow melts soon. Congratulations.

Thanks Seth. I've spent 3 LONG MONTHS pouring over my Mustang bibles, including this one (the Time Lines section), looking for the right color combos. There were mainly 4 stripe color options from the 60's (white, black, red and gold + blue for the Shelby's) but if you check 'em out, white was the most popular. I decided on white because it wasn't as stark as a black stripe and highlighted the polished lip of the wheels. Plus, with the light interior, I felt it looked better. Had I of gone with charcoal inside, they'd of been black.

But hey, that's the beauty of vinyl. If my mood changes next year, so will the stripes

No sir!!!! I was worried too after reading all the "wait for the 05 Bullitts" posts but I took a chance and think they turned out just fine.

Thanks Ryan!

PS - ONE difference......the 05 spinners won't work on the 04 wheels. So maybe I'll hang one of them from the rear view mirror and use the other 3 as paper weights.

I was checking out your pics again and it occured to me that painting the brake calipers would look really cool (maybe red)...IMO. Just a suggestion!
