Kinda low resolution (taken with still camera in movie mode), but here ya go...

These actually work a little better if you save, then view them in a larger window.

That sound was the best part, but it made the wait in line that much harder to bear.

Awesome sound. Steve, how come it didn't sound like that in Oakville? Maybe he was clutched down? Sounds really good even if the mic is picking up the noise.

Neither lauch/accel was particularly quick and is it just me or did both sound like they were slowing down into the turn? Its an oval track, you should be able to keep accelerating no?

Couple things - the sound was a little weird, I think because farther down the track I was getting sound reflected back from the track walls and the banked track surface.

The reason people slowed: the ride-along guys from Ford made it clear we weren't to get higher than 2nd gear.

Many people were chirping the tires into second, though

Ah, limited to second makes sense.

MR325iT, how loud does it sound in person?

Under full throttle it's fairly loud. Under part throttle it didn't seem loud at all. It really resonates higher in the RPM band, I'm guessing around 3500 - 4000 RPM. I'll put it this way - if you're in traffic and you stand on it to pass someone, you won't be sneaking up on them - they will hear you.

Actually, it's the quality of the sound that gets your attention, more than the volume. I'm sure there will be a good number of owners who upgrade exhaust right away, but it sounds surprisingly good stock.

The V-6, on the other hand, makes more engine noise than exhaust noise - more edgy / mechanical sound quality.
