Angry

After driving for three days I had 105 miles on my 2006 Mustang and today I lost all my coolant onto the freeway. Had to pull-off and have roadside assistance send a tow truck to take it to the dealership. To add insult to injury the straps he used dented and scraped the underside of mu front bumper. :bang:

Aw geeze Stan - that really stinks... Do you suppose the termostat stuck? Or did a hose blow off?

No idea yet, Big-Foot. I did a visual check on the hoses and none appeared to be damaged or loose. The service advisor is having someone look at it this morning.

So you were the one causing all the traffic problems on the 60.....oh wait, no, that's just the normal torture that it is. :bang:

I'm just the one that left a coolant slick.

Here's the latest for those that are interested. The dealer found that a freeze plug had blown out of the back of the engine. They had to remove the transmission to get to it and replace the freeze plug. They said that if the factory does not install the plugs properly, this could happen. The towing company sent someone to the dealership to inspect the damage on Tuesday. They have agreed that they are responsible for the damage and will pay all repair costs for the bumper. The dealer's body shop is working on it now. They are trying to heat the bumper to get the plastic back to it's original shape and will repaint it. If the repair is not done to my satisfaction, I'm going to insist that they replace the bumper. I am being told it will be ready by noon on Friday.

Wow, glad that's all it was. Still a pain.

Did you get any pictures of the bumper damage?

Your car is ruined. It will never be the same. Throw it away.

Tell you what, I'll pay you $25.00 cash for it so you can get a taxi ride to the dealer to order a new one. I'll pick it up this weekend.

JeffreyDJ - I didn't get any pictures of the damage. I was too shell shocked to pull-out the camera phone in time.

azoufan - No thanks. Even though it's now a clunker, it's still my clunker. My 140mph clunker. :drive:
